The Cavaliers vs. Celtics first-round matchup seems like it might be one-sided, but things could get interesting as the action all unfolds.

Whenever LeBron James is involved in a game, it instantly becomes something massive that everyone wants to be a part of. When things are amplified for the playoffs, then everything LeBron James does is taken to the next level in a big way. That’s the case with not only his return to the postseason but his return with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

It’s been since 2010 that the Cavaliers were in the postseason, and since then LeBron, the Cavaliers and the team that bounced him out of Cleveland — the Celtics — have all gone in different directions.

LeBron went out to Miami where he won two NBA titles, the Cavaliers collapsed into the LeBron void and the Celtics have gone to the rebuilding process to fix things, which included trading away Rajon Rondo and other stars. Yet, this afternoon all three parties are coming back together in the postseason in a weird sort of cathartic way.

Nothing is promised in the postseason, but what we can probably expect is a recheck series between the Cavaliers and Celtics, which won’t fail to disappoint the basketball fan in us all.
