After Eagles head coach Chip Kelly made headlines again when the team signed Tim Tebow, his successor at Oregon, Mark Helfrich, was asked if Chip Kelly was insane.

Chip Kelly has made moves this off-season that have been from so far out of nowhere, that many are wondering what is going on inside the head of the Philadelphia Eagles head coach.

After the team signed Tim Tebow, who hasn’t thrown a pass since in the NFL in almost four years, many wondered just how crazy Kelly was.

With Kelly making such a bold move and reuniting Tim Tebow with Mark Sanchez, after their disastrous performance as a duo for the Jets, Oregon head coach Mark Helfrich, the successor to Kelly, was asked how he would address Eagles fans that think Chip Kelly is crazy.

“I think it’s unfortunate that I’ve had to answer this question more than once,” Helfrich said. “Chip Kelly is not insane … he’s got a plan, he’s got a method.”

Poor Helfrich, the guy he took over for is long gone and yet he still has to constantly answer questions about him.

It probably doesn’t help that Kelly continues to add former Ducks to the roster, and it wouldn’t be surprising to see him at all add another Duck to a roster at the draft in April.

Perhaps a Ducks quarterback?

Still, Helfrich is right, Chip Kelly isn’t insane, he has a plan and a method. It’s a method that the NFL hasn’t seen yet and no one has any idea how it’s going to work out.

The Eagles have probably had one of the more notable off-seasons of any franchise to date. The team acquired Sam Bradford in a trade that no one saw coming, they signed DeMarco Murray to be their running back after Frank Gore backed out of a deal, they lost Jeremy Maclin to free agency and they signed cornerback Byron Maxwell.

If that wasn’t enough front page headlines, the team went out and added one of the most talked about quarterbacks in Tim Tebow.

The fact that makes it crazy to everyone watching it unfold is that this is all happening in just a span of a couple of months.

Chip Kelly isn’t crazy according to the guy that took over for him, but the off-season the Eagles are having is, and with each twist and turn they have successfully captured the attention of everyone watching.
