Will Sunday night at Extreme Rules be one of the last times that we see Dolph Ziggler in a WWE ring?

You’d be hard-pressed to find a die-hard professional wrestling fan that doesn’t believe Dolph Ziggler has been one of the best performers in the company over the course of the last decade. Although, judging from his position in the company for the better part of this run, people in WWE don’t tend to agree with the fans.

With this, some have wondered when Ziggler may just simply decide that he’s had enough and take his talents elsewhere, such as the independent scene, where realistically he can make a pretty good living.

Well, that time might be coming soon, unfortunately for those that love to see Ziggler in that WWE ring doing what he does best.

On Twitter recently, Ziggler cut a bit of a promo on his opponent this Sunday at Extreme Rules, Sheamus, but what was even more telling about the message is that it kinda seems as if he has hit the end of his rope and could be on his way out soon.

For the sake of good television week in and week out, hopefully most of this is just kayfabe. Although, this wouldn’t be the first time that Ziggler spoke out against the company publicly.

But, again, something a lot of people don’t realize is that Ziggler can make maybe just as good a living on the independent scene as he could in WWE. Working in places like New Japan and Ring of Honor could pay him pretty handsomely for his talent in the ring, and you’d certainly imagine that he’s get top pushes in these companies immediately.

Either way, judging from the message on Twitter there, it seems like we’ll find out in a few months what Dolph Ziggler chooses to do.
