The 2015 NFL Draft is almost upon us, and next weekend in Chicago the usual schools will put their fair share of prospects into the league. But every year one of the most intriguing things to watch is how small schools outside of the Football Bowl Subdivision put players into the NFL. This year will be no different.

The 2015 edition of the NFL draft should have a plethora of small school players selected and many will go on to have long careers. Over the years the gap between FBS and FCS has closed, which means more and more talented players are coming out of lower division schools.

What follows is a list and breakdown of five small school prospects who will be drafted next weekend. They are guys you should get to know if you aren’t familiar with them already. Each of the following guys has the potential to start in the NFL next season and each could wind up playing in the league for a long time.
