Cowboys’ wide receiver Dez Bryant took to Twitter to congratulate new teammate Byron Jones when a follower called him ‘corny.’ He didn’t respond well.

During NFL Draft weekend, it’s always exciting to see players’ faces when they get picked and some future teammates also show these young rookies some love on social media.

It’s one of the best moments in a young player’s life when his name is called and he gets to walk across the stage, shake the commissioner’s hand and hold up the jersey of his future team with his name on the back of it.

These kids somehow hold all their emotions in check throughout the entire process while most of us would be nervous wrecks.

As the Dallas Cowboys selected cornerback Byron Jones from Connecticut with the No. 27 overall pick, wide out Dez Bryant took to Twitter to congratulate the newest rookie.

It seemed like a simple, harmless tweet, just shouting out his future teammate while being respectful. However, one follower of Bryant’s thought the receiver was being a bit ‘corny’ and decided to let the world know.

Obviously, Bryant could have handled that situation better as he ripped the young woman by calling her fat. You know, when a fan with 700 followers on Twitter calls you corny without even tweeting at you and you expose a possible insecurity for your 820,000 followers to see, you might just be Dez Bryant.

It’s not difficult to believe he would do something like this as he’s always involved in some type of controversy whether it be screaming at his teammates and coaches on the field or being subject to a curfew by the Cowboys to keep him under control.

The woman was hoping he was just kidding, but that wasn’t the case at all.

At least Bryant didn’t back down, right? OK, so he was a little ruthless.

He then just kept pushing the envelope with a series of tweets.

I think it’s safe to say he should have just let that one go.
