Ever feel like you’re reading an article and the headline doesn’t accurately reflect the content. Well I look at some of the bigger stories in  sports and come up with some headlines I think are better suited to the actual story.

“GET YOUR S*** TOGETHER MONTREAL!”

After advancing past the Ottawa Senators in round one of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, the Montreal Canadiens are now struggling against the Tampa Bay Lightning.  They have lost the first two games despite being on home ice and having the best goalie in the league with Carey Price. Hopefully, two back-to-back days off will help them turn things around in time for Game 3 in Tampa Bay.

“Sorry Bulls, no one cares if you won because it’s always about LeBron”

The Cleveland Cavaliers and the Chicago Bulls are facing off in round two of the NBA Playoffs. In Game 1, the Bulls pulled off a 99-92 victory in Cleveland. Instead of looking at what the Bulls did right, most people are looking at where LeBron James was slacking. He finished with 19 points, 15 rebounds, nine assists and three steals. Don’t worry about the fact Jimmy Butler put up 20 points and Derrick Rose put up 25.

“Cubs blew it…again”

The Chicago Cubs suffered a painful 10-9 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals Monday night. They managed to blow a 8-4 lead over the Cardinals by giving up two in the sixth and a grand slam in the seventh. Even a home run by Anthony Rizzo and an impressive display from their star rookie Kris Bryant couldn’t keep this team from looking like they have in the past.

“Wait, there’s someone other than Alex Ovechkin on the Capitals?”

Jay Beagle stepped up for the Washington Capitals in Monday nights game against the New York Rangers. He picked up the lone-goal to give his team a 1-0 victory in Game 3. Beagle isn’t one of the teams big name players, he’s not known for his stickhandling or slapshots, but he has incredible dedication on the ice. Capitals now lead that series 2-1.

“Clippers: One commercial actor down, another one in.”

Chris Paul has been an important leader to his team for quite some time now. Since Paul injured his hamstring, power forward Blake Griffin has stepped into his leadership role. Normally Griffin is a quiet guy on the court, but in Mondays playoff game against the Houston Rockets, you could see him vocally leading his team. Griffin was sure to lead by example as well by picking up his second straight triple-double.
