The Western Conference’s second round series’ haven’t been as exciting and dramatic as the first round, at least so far, with the Anaheim Ducks and Chicago Blackhawks both taking 2-0 series leads over the Calgary Flames and Minnesota Wild, respectively.

They’ve built their series lead with their stars playing like stars with Corey Perry, Ryan Getzlaf, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith and Jonathan Toews having their name scattered across the score sheet each game.

Meanwhile, the Eastern Conference has a lopsided series too with the Tampa Bay Lightning extending their regular season dominance over the Montreal Canadiens and have now won seven straight against the team who swept them in the first round last year.

The most exciting series in the second round is between the President’s Trophy winning New York Rangers who are locked up in a 1-1 tie with Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals in what has the makings for a seven-game series.

So now that you’re all caught up, let’s take a look at the postseason edition of the NHL power rankings and the team with the best chance of hoisting Lord Stanley’s Cup.
