It’s always fun when professional football players act like 13-year-old kids on Instagram. This happened on Tuesday, when San Francisco 49ers tight end Vernon Davis send out the following picture on his Instragram account, talking about his love of football, per USA Today.

Seems like a fairly reasonable thing for a longtime, terrific player to send out in May. It’s been over five months since Davis has suited up and will be another three and a half before he gets on the field for Week 1. However, Indianapolis Colts running back Frank Gore, and former teammate of Davis, had this to say:

Gore

This is surprising, and subsequently was deleted by Gore. If Gore really feels this way, he should have some guts and keep the comment there. It is hard to believe that Davis doesn’t love football. In the beginning stages of his career, Davis was a diva and got called to the carpet by former head coach Mike Singletary. Since then, Davis has been nothing short of a perfect teammate by most accounts, playing through back pain to be one of the most productive players in the NFL over the last decade.

Watch this video and maintain that Davis does not care about football:

Seems like a pretty weak call by Gore, especially if he is going to delete the comment and not back it up.
