Let’s jump pinto today’s top ten batter vs pitcher matchups which includes a few sleepers as well as some bigger names who have enjoyed success against their expected opponent this afternoon.

10. Dan Uggla-2B-Washington Nationals: Uggla is a solid sleeper for today if he gets the start for the Nats as they face the Phillies in the rubber game of their three game set.  Aaron Harang gets the start for the Phils which bodes well for Uggla who is 9-29 (.310) against Harang in his career including four doubles and a pair of home runs.  Uggla is a swing-for-the-fences risk, but when he connects he can definitely deliver making him worth considering for this afternoon if you can confirm he’s getting the start.

9. Ben Revere-OF-Philadelphia Phillies: On the other side of that same game, the Phillies will face the Nationals Gio Gonazalez who has been inconsistent to start the season.  One player in the Philadelphia lineup with a good history against Gonzalez is Ben Revere who is 9-22 (.409) with a triple and an RBI against Gio in the past.

8. Joe Mauer-1B-Minnesota Twins: Moving from the NL East to an AL Central divisional matchup, one big name to check out is Joe Mauer as he faces Jose Quintana and the White Sox.  Mauer is 9-23 (.391) against Quintana in his career with a pair of home runs and five RBI.
