With Jimmie Johnson wrecking and Carl Edwards winning, how does the points standings look after Charlotte?

The Coca-Cola 600 is like a brand new season for NASCAR.

It begins summer for the drivers on the track and the 600 miles always shakes up the points standings.

This year was no different as the 600 miles chewed up and spit drivers out as Carl Edwards outlasted everyone else to pick up his very first win of the season.

For Joe Gibbs Racing it was a week of dominance on the track, and for Edwards, he shoots up the points standings with his huge victory.

Jimmie Johnson wasn’t as lucky after wrecking and ending up several laps behind. He would go from first to fifth in the standings as a result. Luckily for him, he has three wins and the points standings are inconsequential as a result.

Summer has begun, and Carl Edwards picked up the first Post-All-Star Race victory. With the Coca-Cola 600 in the books, here is the updated points standings.
