Houston Rockets guard James Harden hit a huge 80-foot shot at the end of the first half but it didn’t count.

The Houston Rockets had a big first half in Game 4 of the Western Conference Finals against the Golden State Warriors. They scored 45 points in the first quarter to take a 23 point lead, setting and matching records along the way.

Then at the end of the first half it looked like James Harden was about to put a big fat exclamation point on the half with an 80-foot buzzer beater, which he drained. It also came off a steal seconds before hand.

But it was clearly after the buzzer, so it didn’t count.

Still, shouldn’t it have counted anyways, just because of the difficulty it took for him to make the shot.

Jeff Van Gundy seemed to think so according to comments on the broadcast.

But if that were the case, games could never end.

Still it is incredibly impressive and shows you how good the Rockets are shooting.
