With the National Football League teams getting into the meat of their offseason training programs, and across the country are beginning to get excited. For those of us who cover the league, we are also giddy with excitement. For all the publicity issues this league has (and well-deserved ones, at that), football is something we all look forward to.

In that vein, let’s look into our crystal ball that we bought at Target and try to project the 2015-16 campaign. Which players will regress? Who will emerge from nowhere? Which teams will step up and which will quietly sink into obscurity?

It’s time to give our best guess on who makes the 2015 NFL first and second-teams.

Quarterback (1)

Last year: Aaron Rodgers and Tony Romo

First team: Andrew Luck
Second team: Aaron Rodgers

After adding Phillip Dorsett, Andre Johnson and Frank Gore, Luck will have an off-the-charts season. It wouldn’t be surprising if he throws for over 5,000 yards. Rodgers will be great at usual, maybe even snagging another MVP award.

Running back (2)

Last year: DeMarco Murray, Le’Veon Bell, Marshawn Lynch

First team: Marshawn Lynch, LeSean McCoy
Second team: Jamaal Charles, Adrian Peterson

McCoy will be rode into the ground in Buffalo, where Matt Cassel and EJ Manuel are going to be butchering the quarterback position with every throw. Lynch remains the focal point in Seattle, while Charles is the same for the Chiefs. Peterson might be annoyed to play for the Vikings, but his fresh legs will see him have a monster year.

Fullback (1)

Last year: John Kuhn and Anthony Sherman

First team: Anthony Sherman
Second team: Jerome Felton

Sherman has really come on since being dealt from the Arizona Cardinals to Kansas City in 2013, while Felton will shine in Buffalo’s offense. Both teams run the ball a ton.
