The Los Angeles Lakers have been spiraling downward, but there is still hope for the franchise can turn things around before it’s too late.

There was a time in the not so distant past where the Los Angeles Lakers were universally loathed throughout the NBA. They were the good looking kid in class who always got what they wanted and always seemed to win at everything they attempted.

Now that the wheels have fallen off, they’ve basically become a beaten down Tyler Durden — teeth chipped, face scarred and ego broken.

But you can’t kill Tyler Durden, just like you can’t kill the Lakers or their prowess in the NBA. It may be something that can be suppressed, but it’s always going to come back around and the Lakers will again someday be great.

The only question is, when?

Just like the infamous narrator in Fight Cub, there are a number of things that the Lakers need to do right now in order strip themselves of worldly possessions, reach basketball nirvana and truly begin a new era in the team’s history.
