Nothing is more exciting than NBA free agency. Sure, the Finals are cool, but the craziness that surrounds the NBA when players hit the open market is incredible. Some teams, like the Sacramento Kings, run around with wads of cash in both hands, hoping to find someone who will actually take it.

Then there are the New York Knicks and Los Angeles Lakers. They are two of the most storied franchises in the Association and yet can’t get one top-tier player to sign. Why? Because they are terrible. Both teams are run by fools who don’t understand basketball. Incredibly, the two most important teams in the league outside of the Boston Celtics will be terrible again in 2015.

Then there are the smart teams. Franchises like the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks. Both have been front-and-center throughout the free-agent frenzy during the first few days of July, with both trying to catch up to the Golden State Warriors.

While none of the deals can be made official until July 9, we are taking all the agreements as done. Let’s look at which teams have made the best pacts with impact players, hoping to vault themselves into the elite conversations in 2015-16.
