A 4th of July music playlist more patriotic than Abraham Lincoln riding on the back of a grizzly bear atop an American Flag saddle.

It has been said that, on the 4th of July, if you crane your neck in any direction you can still hear the wind blowing a faint sound of America stomping on the groin of every other nation in the world. Pretty sure Abe Lincoln said that to rally the Union … or maybe it was my drunk uncle Rusty at last year’s fireworks party. Whatever the case, America rocks.

Fourth of July is probably the greatest holiday in the history of the world. It’s definitely tops on the modern calendar. For one day the entire country rallies around the Red, White, Blue and goes full Murica mode. Grilling, boozing, fireworks, and a whole lot of patriotism. It’s glorious.

As with any good shindig you need to make sure the tuneage is on point. That’s why we here at FanSided are bringing you the most patriotic playlist in the land.

No matter your preference of music (whether country or metal or somewhere else on the spectrum), these are all songs you can get behind on the 4th. Whether you’re eating Freedom Toast for breakfast, scarfing Freedom Fries for lunch or shooting off American Candles at night, this is the perfect playlist to blare. Without further ado, let’s get after it.

Rock, Flag & Eagle – Charlie Day

I’m a big fan of intro tracks to albums, so here’s the one that really frames this whole playlist. Nothing better than a little rock, flag and eagle to make you wanna go America all over everyone’s ass.

God Bless the USA – Lee Greenwood

If you don’t play this at least 17 times on the 4th then you might as well just tear up your Murica card. It’s the G.O.A.T., the benchmark by which all other patriotic songs are measured.

American Soldier – Toby Keith

Like I said above, whether or not you like country, this song is full Murica. If the line “We’ll put a boot in your ass, it’s the American way,” doesn’t move your needle then get the hell out.

Only in America – Brooks and Dunn

We’re at peak country right now. This song sounds like the revving of Chevy Silverado 1500 with extended cab. Pure Murica.

This is our Country – John Mellencamp

Speaking of Chevy – remember when this tune was played in every other commercial during the NCAA Tournament?

Pink Houses – John Cougar Mellencamp

Back-to-backers from John Cougar. To be honest this wasn’t on the initial list, but after it came on the autoplay reel I couldn’t leave it off. Just so we don’t get off track anymore, the entire Cougar catalog is fair game. Toss it on and breathe in the heartland.

Close Shave Barbasol

This one falls in line with the Chevy jingle theme we were exploring before a Cougar knocked things off course. Try and say this jingle isn’t 100% America. Even beardos want to shave after hearing this jam. America, you’re looking good: handsome, free and tall …

This feels like a nice spot for an interlude. Click to the next page to continue rocking.
