The MLB Trade Deadline is less than two weeks away, so who are the best hitters on the market?

World Series teams are not made on mediocre lineups and poor pitching staffs, they are made on stellar batting orders and top-notch rotations. With the 2015 MLB Trade Deadline just under two weeks away, it’s time to look at those available batters who could turn a contender into a champion.

Every contender has that one player in the lineup who no opposing pitcher wants to throw to. If that team is a serious contender, it likely has more than one of those players in the lineup.

Injuries and underachieving play by some of the batters in the order of the top teams in the league have caused front office personnel to shift their focus to the trade deadline to fill voids. If a player isn’t holding up his end of the bargain offensively, teams must make a change if they want to start being realistic about World Series hopes.

The leaves aren’t far from changing, meaning that it’s time to start thinking about postseason play and which guys you want on your roster once October rolls around.

Let’s take a look at the top five hitters on the marker at this year’s trade deadline that are sure to make some contenders very happy in a couple weeks.
