Baseball’s annual trade deadline is one of the most exciting times of the year for some fans. If your team is a seller, you dread July 31 because you know your favorite team is probably going to get rid of some star players in order to get some young prospects in return.

The MLB Trade Deadline isn’t exciting so much for the fans of teams that will be selling, but for the squads looking to add star players for a deep October run.

Over the years, the popularity of the July 31st event has seemed to grow. Every year on that last day at 3:59 p.m. ET, people all around baseball keep an eye on the transaction report, looking for any blockbuster trade that may have happened in the final hour.

While the modern trade deadline has been moved back to July 31 from the original June 15, that has just made it even more exciting to speculate who may be heading where and for what.

This year’s deadline has already been crazy, but it’s not even July 31 yet. That’s why we are going to look at the top 10 deals over the last 15 years that have happened on the final day and had people all around baseball in shock.

Some of these deals looked like average ones at the time, but have since turned out to be blockbusters.
