Motorbike stunt rider Robbie Maddison did some impossible things with a dirt bike on a wave.

Robbie Maddison has been around the world of extreme sports for several years. While the 34-year-old Australian’s exploits in the X Games and in jumping over landmarks around the world have been exhilarating, nothing is comparable to his latest accomplishment. While in Tahiti, Maddison rode a wave on a dirt bike:

Everything about that video defies logic and understanding. Seeing Maddison riding down a river is pretty incredible. Watching him cruise down a smaller wave seems impossible. However, when he rides into that huge pipe in the finale of the video, he’s doing something that is near unfathomable.

While the fact that Maddison is a man out here riding a land vehicle on water (much less surfing with it) is amazing, the fact that he’s wearing motocross equipment while doing so seems even more insane. Imagine if that had gone poorly how difficult it would have been to stay above water.

It’s safe to say that Maddison has the guts and courage to experiment and try things that the majority of the population does not. I don’t know if he’s inventing a new (and potentially expensive) new sport or if he’s just a guy who can do something jaw dropping that no one else can. Either way, Maddison’s feat deserves immense respect and appreciation.
