Have you ever had a moment when you are trying to say one thing, but then your brain malfunctions and the wrong word comes out? Of course you have. Usually, the slip just makes you sound silly, you all have a laugh and then you move on.

Unfortunately, Baltimore Orioles broadcaster Gary Thorne had no such luck. In the first inning of Baltimore’s game against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday night, first baseman Albert Pujols hit into a routine groundout to third base. When the out was recorded, Thorne made a call that we won’t be forgetting anytime soon.

The slip-up was completely unintentional, but it is eye-popping because Thorne is one of the greatest broadcasters to ever live. Thorne has not only been one of the best broadcaster for years in baseball, but he used to call the Stanley Cup Final with regularity. Now, Thorne has an all-timer for the blooper reel.
