Florida State Seminoles fans are some of the most rabid fans in college football — but they’re also insufferable to some.

Each year when college football kicks off, there’s a debate about who has the best fans in the sport. The SEC is touted as being the most passionate fan base in the NCAA but there are plenty of other schools in smaller colleges across the country who eat, sleep and bleed passion for they team.

But not every fan base that is insane about their team are well received by other fans in college football. It appears that Florida State Seminoles fans, while passionate, are an insufferable bunch of overrated hacks.

According to USA Today, Florida State is the most overrated fan base in college football.

"I’m not going to even touch on your former quarterback whose name rhymed with “shame us.” Instead we’ll focus on the appalling, annoying and out-of-date Tomahawk Chop, which is probably the worst thing in all of sports. Why do people care about the Washington Redskins’ name but not the Tomahawk Chop? Probably because they know FSU will be back to being mediocre in a few years and it’s not worth the trouble"

This is both a fantastic troll and pretty accurate. Over the course of the last few seasons, the Noles have been one of the most talked about teams in college football but not always for the best reasons. There was the Jameis Winston rape allegations, the former quarterback who punched a woman in the face and their running back who is accused of violent knocking a woman around.

Sure, they won the National Championship in 2014, but that hardly erases the massive moral issues that come with rooting for the Noles. The fan base is one of the most rabid in college football, but when you are defending rape and domestic violence — perhaps a mental head check is needed.
