The latest trailer for NBA 2K16 highlights the game’s incredible detail

Realism has become more prominent in sports video games with every annual installment in recent years. It’s not uncommon for a passerby to see someone playing a sports video game and mistake it for an actual game on television. That’s only going to become a more frequent occurrence with NBA 2K16 looking as detailed as it does in the game’s latest trailer.

With the focus being on “#WINNING” in the trailer, it’s the incredible detail that the developers at 2K have put into this game that truly shines:

Stephen Curry is there chewing on his mouth guard, James Harden is cooking with the pot (and presumably getting cursed by Lil B), the players are sweating, and Draymond Green is out here videobombing teammates during interviews. While that may seem like somewhat trivial additions to the game, it’s those types of details that can take an already advanced game in terms of realism to the next level.

Moreover, the latest trailer also features an enticing incentive to pre-order the game. While the game’s official release isn’t until September 29, those who pre-order can get their hands on it four days earlier on September 22. That’s four more days of getting videobombed by Draymond Green than your friends will get.
