Charles Barkley has some choice things he would do if he ever met up with his former agent.

Whether as a player or in his current gig as an NBA analyst on TNT Charles Barkley has always been known for being a colorful, candid person in interviews. Sporting a mouth like no other, Barkley never holds back and spouts off his opinion on nearly any ear willing to listen to it.

And that holds especially true if you get him talking about sports agents, and in particular Lance Luchnick, Barkley’s agent when he signed out of college.

Appearing on the Dan Patrick show on Friday morning, Barkley was asked about his dealing with agents during his college years at Auburn, including his admission that he had accepted money from them against NCAA rules.

However, the conversation turned a bit awkward when Barkley swerved right and started discussing the fact that he chose a different agent than any of the three who were sending him money.

"“Probably the only mistake I made was I didn’t sign with one of those three agents, I ended up signing with a scumbag agent and I don’t want to mention his name – Lance Luchnick – he stole all my money, he’s a scumbag, if I see him this day I’d blow his damn brains out. I hate that SOB.” – (h/t For The Win)"

Wait a second, Barkley would do what now? He surely didn’t mean that he would blow his brains out, right? That’s a pretty bold statement!

Then again, Barkley’s issues with Luchnick go back quite a few years. In 1988, Barkley began questioning his finances, which were negotiated and handles by Luchnick, after numerous investments the agent made with Barkley’s money came up on the wrong end. Eventually, the former Sixers’ star would win a $5 million judgement against Luchnick, but never saw a dime of the money.

Luchnick was decertified by the NBA in 1990 after a number of former players, Barkley included, and the agent has a long history of being accused of paying amateur athletes and coaches in order to dig his claws in.

Needless to say, Luchnick is fairly likely to do his absolute best to avoid any sort of contact with Charles Barkley. And he’d likely be best served to avoid any other of his former clients as well.
