After transferring from Notre Dame, Everett Golson is the starting quarterback for the Florida State Seminoles.

It has been over a year since Everett Golson was suspended by Notre Dame, but that has ended up being a blessing in disguise. After missing the 2013 season following his dismissal from Notre Dame football, Golson is back in a starting job and will be leading the Florida State Seminoles in one final ride during his college career.

Golson has one year of eligibility left in college and he has taken his talents to Florida State in an effort to gain as much publicity as possible heading into the 2016 NFL Draft. Golson has his sights set on being a pro, and putting himself in a position to be a starting quarterback at Florida State is one of the best places he can be.

That’s exactly what is happening, as Jimbo Fisher named Golson the Noles starting QB to start the season.

There’s no saying that he wouldn’t have gotten NFL hype if he had remained at Notre Dame, but he has a much better stage in Tallahassee.

It’s not a guarantee that Golson will have success at Florida State, but all eyes will be on him at one of the nation’s largest college football programs. That’s a great start to a season that we didn’t see for Golson when he decided to transfer from Notre Dame in the summer.
