Tim Tebow finishing off Eagles’ 2015 preseason in style (Video)
Tim Tebow continues to impress as he battles for the final quarterback spot on the Eagles roster. This time he threw a deep bomb to show off his arm.
For the second time tonight in New York, it is Tebow time.
After Tim Tebow threw a beautiful touchdown on strike on third-and-long earlier, he showed off some deep prowess against the New York Jets as he stood tall in the pocket yet again.
With plenty of time to throw thanks to his offensive line, Tebow stepped up and delivered an absolute bomb to Freddie Martino.
The pass traveled 45 yards and set the Eagles up with great field position. If Tim Tebow is looking to make the Eagles roster, he is making the plays tonight that he has to make if he is going to be a member of the team.
If that play alone wasn’t enough to seal his fate as a member of the Eagles, he made a Tebow-esque play later in the game that reminded everyone of what Tebow can do with his feet.
With the rush coming off the edge, Tebow side-stepped the defender and threw a touchdown strike on the run.
It was reported earlier in the week that Tebow has a very good chance of making the Eagles roster. It looks like with his play tonight that Matt Barkley is probably on the way out. Tebow’s versatility and ability to run the read-option make him a favorite of Chip Kelly. With the new extra-point rules, Tebow is also a threat there.
Tim Tebow looks like he’s knocking on the door of once again making a roster in this league.
