Elijah Holyfield offered up his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs on Friday and he did it in the best way possible that we all love — LIVE ANIMALS!

The 2015 college football season is getting underway this weekend, but that never means that we have to stop looking towards the future. College Football recruiting is a season that really never stops, and on Friday, the Georgia Bulldogs got a recruit with a pretty prominent name.

Elijah Holyfield is a four-star running back out of Woodward Academy in Atlanta, Georgia. On Friday, he officially offered up his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs, remaining home. Holyfield had a slew of offers from around the country, especially in the SEC. In the end, he decided that it was best to stay close to home with Mark Richt and crew.

Oh, you haven’t figured out why his name is so prominent yet? Come on! Yes, he’s the son of famous ex-heavyweight champion Evander Holyfield.

Now, back to the whole recruiting announcement. Holyfield did make his commitment official, but in doing so, he used a tactic that has somewhat become a favorite among a lot of college football fans. In announcing that he will be staying home, Holyfield went the route of throwing some live bulldog puppies into the process.

Using live animals in announcing your recruiting decision has become quite commonplace, especially when someone commits to the Florida Gators and they use baby alligators. But, most of can agree that bulldog puppies are much cuter and should be a must for any UGA commit.
