Seahawks sign Fred Jackson, reunite him with Marshawn Lynch

The Seattle Seahawks have signed Fred Jackson to a one-year deal, reuniting him with Marshawn Lynch.
When the Buffalo Bills shockingly cut Fred Jackson earlier last month, it was a move that took a lot of people by surprise. After his release, there were reports that the team wasn’t on board with the move to cut the running back and that the general manager had gone rouge — but regardless of the reason Jackson was cut, he’s now found a new home.
On Friday, the Seahawks signed Fred Jackson to a one-year deal which reunites him with former teammate Marshawn Lynch.
The real person this is bad news for is Christine Michael, who has been getting looks all over in the preseason and hasn’t been able to do anything with them. The addition of Jackson likely means the end in Seattle for Michael, but maybe not so much for Robert Turbin.
But what this is really about is the reunion of Fred Jackson and Marshawn Lynch. Their relationship from their days in Buffalo clearly hasn’t soured over the years, as Beast Mode was clamoring for the Seahawks to make a deal happen – and that apparently has.
Seattle now has a dynamic one-two punch in the backfield with Robert Turbin to spare. Add that to an offense that has Russell Wilson under center and Jimmy Graham at tight end, and al of a sudden the Seahawks are starting to look as dangerous on offense as they are on defense.
