Don’t threaten David Pollack with a good time. On Saturday’s season premier on ESPN’s College GameDay, Pollack was put on the spot, tasked with performing a standing box jump the same height that J.J. Watt beasted in a viral video.

Sixty-one inches. Suit and tie. No problem.

Ice cold execution from Pollack. Probably could’ve nailed 65 if he wanted to. He basically put Herbie, Jesse Palmer, Desmond Howard, really anyone at ESPN on notice. You wanna lay down the gauntlet, the former Georgia Bulldog will turn GameDay into a regular version of Crossfit.

In fact, let’s just make this a regular segment on College GameDay. Tom Rinaldi has his tear-jerkers. Sam Ponder receives her special interest pieces. Hell, even The Bear is getting a healthy dose of screen time. How about we pencil in five minutes each week to watch Pollack try crazy feats – pushing trucks, chasing rabbits through sugarcane fields, marine training, let’s get weird with it.

Pollack was once a bruising linebacker for the Dawgs and spent two years in the NFL before fracturing a vertebrae. Following his premature retirement Pollack shed a ton of weight and became a proponent for healthy eating/living. He’s been a part of the College GameDay crew since 2011.
