Tyler Lockett has done it again, as the rookie out of Kansas State got the Seahawks on the board with his special teams work
We saw in the preseason that Tyler Lockett, the rookie out of Kansas State, could be something special for the Seattle Seahawks, especially when it comes to his special teams work. Some had wondered, though, whether or not that would translate into the regular season.
Well, it certainly has, as the Bears found out on Sunday.
The Seahawks went into the half of this one with a 6-0 lead, and they were fortunate enough to get the ball to start the second half. They’re also fortunate enough to have an absolute stud like Lockett back there to be the one to receive these kicks. Because, when he receives the kicks, things like this happen.
105 yards. To the house. Just like that. You never know what hit you, and before you know it, Lockett is standing in the end zone celebrating.
At this point, to say that the Seahawks stole this young man in the draft might be an understatement. They committed highway robbery and the teams that passed up on him that had him on their boards have got to be kicking themselves.
