Sergio Aguero nets five goals in Manchester City onslaught (Video)
Sergio Aguero found the back of the net five times as Manchester City destroyed Newcastle
Manchester City conceded the first goal of their fixture against Newcastle on Saturday, looking as if they were feeling the after effects of their Champions League war earlier in the week. However, the always-dangerous, and suddenly in-form, Sergio Aguero wouldn’t let his team fade into oblivion on this day.
Aguero drew City level near the end of the first half as he streaked towards the middle of the six-yard box and was able to finish off a beautiful set-up by his teammates:
Much like the first half ended for Aguero and City, the second half started off in a scoring frenzy. Just over three minutes into the first half, the forward got loose at the top of the penalty area and found space between defenders to put it past the keeper:
Just a minute later, Aguero was loose again and chipped the keeper for the hat trick:
After Kevin De Bruyne got a goal for himself, Aguero took back the glory as he beat his defender on the left side of the pitch and drilled a precision goal into the bottom-right corner:
Because four isn’t enough, Aguero came sliding in on another beautiful set-up and delivered the ball to the back of the net:
That’s five goals for Aguero and six for City as the Argentinian spearheaded what is now a destruction of Newcastle. Five goals for one player (in only 23 minutes!) and five goals for a club in 19 minutes (!) of the second half tend to have that effect.
