Chris Bosh dishes nifty backwards assist through his legs to Dwyane Wade (Video)
Chris Bosh is already getting fancy in the NBA preseason
Sunday is just the third day of NBA preseason action, meaning many teams are just out there trying to get a feel for new teammates and get used to being back in game action. That’s what most teams are doing. Chris Bosh and the Miami Heat, however, are out here trying to recreate the And1 Mixtape Tour already.
In the Heat’s first game of the preseason against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday evening, Bosh was running the offense out of the high-post. That set him up to dish out a clever assist to a cutting Dwyane Wade. The trick, though, was that Wade was cutting behind Bosh, forcing the big man to pass to him through his legs. It worked to perfection:
As beautiful as the pass was on the part of Bosh, you also can’t discount that high-arching finish from Wade to actually earn his teammate the assist. It’s almost like those two are All-Stars that have played together for several years.
With Bosh back healthy along with Wade, Luol Deng, Goran Dragic, an emerging Hassan Whiteside, and the addition of new guys like Amar’e Stoudemire and rookie Justise Winslow, this Heat team could be a sleeper in the Eastern Conference if everything comes together. It’s only one highlight from one preseason game, but that Bosh assist makes it look as if things are coming together just fine thus far.
