The Philadelphia Eagles were a popular pick to reach the Super Bowl this season. Instead, they are the epitome of lifeless, with head coach Chip Kelly getting tons of flack.

Philadelphia lost to the Washington Redskins, 23-20, on Sunday afternoon at FedEx Field, dropping it to 1-3 and last in the brutal NFC East. Despite the game being close throughout, star running back and free-agent signing DeMarco Murray carried eight times for a team-high 36 yards.

After the game, beat writer Eliot Shorr-Parks captured the scene in Philadelphia’s locker room, including Murray being disgruntled:

Frankly, it is impossible to fault Murray for feeling this way. At what point does Kelly begin to justify the six-year, $42 million contract and hand him the football? Kelly opted to completely blow up his team this offseason despite a pair of 10-win seasons in 2013 and 2014, and things are ugly. Philadelphia has done nothing offensively, with both Murray and quarterback Sam Bradford playing horribly.

The Eagles are lucky they are playing in the NFC East, where the quarterbacks are Eli Manning, Brandon Weeden and Kirk Cousins. Wow.
