The Houston Astros are on to the ALDS, having shutout the Yankees in the AL Wild Card game.

After starting this season the butt of out jokes over the fact that they double booked a Taylor Swift concert on the date of a potential home playoff game, the Houston Astros continue to shock the world. Houston advanced to the ALDS on Tuesday night after shutting out the Yankees in the Bronx.

New York and Houston both seemed to be ahead of schedule as far as being playoff contenders this season, but the Bombers couldn’t even muster up a single run to make their case.

Here’s a look at the updated MB Playoff Bracket now that the Astros have bounced the Yankees:

We still have one more Wild Card game to go before the playoffs officially start, as the Cubs and Pirates will do this whole song and dance tomorrow night at PNC Park. But the Astros have survived the biggest game of their season so far and are now poised to face a team that used a Wild Card win last season to spark a World Series run — the Royals.

The only question is, will this extra game and added hype boost the Astros on that kind of a run or will they fall at the hands of the Royals?
