During the Kansas City Royals‘ playoff game against the Houston Astros, a member of the Royals’ grounds crew was swallowed by a tarp during a rain delay.

Much like the Royals against the Astros early, the Royals’ grounds crew is getting run over too. After a large amount of rain rolled through Kansas City, the game was brought to a halt during the third inning. In an effort to keep the field dry, the grounds crew in Kansas City rushed out onto the field as they desperately tried to pull the giant tarp over the infield as quick as possible.

One member of the grounds crew almost became a casualty as he failed to keep up with the speed of the tarp being rolled out. As the grounds crew was pushing the tarp on the field, the members of the other side were pulling on the tarp to unroll it faster.

Well one of those pulling lost his footing in the slick grass and tried his hardest to get up and avoid being rolled over by the monstrous tarp.

It looked like he was going to get up, but his fellow grounds crew members kept on pushing without a care for their fellow man as they sought to get the job done no matter the casualties involved.

Luckily a shed of remorse came over those pushing and their heart grew three sizes as they quickly stopped the momentum of the giant tarp to let their fellow man breathe and get back to his feet.
