All of Canada is in full-blown Toronto Blue Jays fever, and it’s starting to work it’s way into the classrooms.

After a 20-plus year absence from the playoffs, the Toronto Blue Jays and their fans are excited to once again be involved in the Major League Baseball postseason. Apparently they are so thrilled, that they’ve started singing team fight songs before getting their learning on.

While here is the states, students get their day started by singing the national anthem, things in Toronto appear to be a bit different. According to 680 News, the young fans at James S. Bell Middle Sports and Wellness Academy are starting their days by showing their support for the Blue Jays by singing O.K. Blue Jays before classes begin.

Is there more heart-warming than watching a young fan, still marveled in the glory of the game, singing a team song to help get the positive mojo up? I think not!

Of course, the Blue Jays could use all the positive mojo that these kids can stir up. Toronto dropped Game One of the American League Divisional Series to the Texas Rangers on Thursday afternoon, losing 5-3 with David Price on the mound. They’ll hope to even the series on Friday when they send Marcus Stroman to the bump against veteran Cole Hamels.

Some of that positive mojo already appears to be paying off for Toronto. After leaving Thursday’s game after a scary collision at first base, Josh Donaldson passed his concussion tests and was on the field on Friday morning for practice. The soon to be American League MVP will be right back in the two hole and hoping to help his team send the series to Texas tied at one game apiece.
