The New Orleans Saints walked into Indianapolis and punched the Colts in the face.

27. 15. Final. 21. 46

The New Orleans Saints rolled right into Indianapolis and punched the Colts right in the mouth. In a throwback performance by New Orleans, the Saints offense came out swinging and actually mustered up some fight.

The Saints jumped out to a 27-0 lead over the overmatched home team, forcing turnovers galore and possibly driving Chuck Pagano from the hot seat to the firing squad. It took nearly three full quarters for the Colts to find the scoreboard in front of a deflated crowd at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Andrew Luck was banged around like a drum throughout the game, and continued his turnover-prone ways. Frank Gore looked old and unable to hit the second level. And the team in general lacked any sort of enthusiasm. New Orleans did everything it could to piss the game away, but the Colts just couldn’t take advantage of the situation.

It’s been a trying season for the Colts, and Sunday’s result only adds to the list of disappointments for a team once expected to reach Super Bowl 50.
