Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan is all about trying to play the funny man who packs a serious punch. Sometimes, it is hilarious. Other times, Ryan is left with all kinds of egg on his face.

On Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars at Wembley Stadium in London, England, Ryan went ultimate troll on Jacksonville Jaguars offensive line coach Doug Marrone. Ryan sent out all of the starting Buffalo offensive linemen as captains for the opening coin toss, mocking Marrone, who took his option to leave Buffalo on New Year’s Eve to find employment elsewhere. Per Deadspin:

The best part about this troll? Buffalo promptly went out and fell behind the underdog Jaguars, 27-0. The offensive line was a mess, giving backup quarterback E.J. Manuel all sorts of problems. Then, somehow, the Bills came roaring back, scoring 28 unanswered points and making Ryan appear a genius. But then, if typical Buffalo fashion, the Bills allowed a game-winning touchdown.

Buffalo is now 3-4 and sitting in last place of the AFC East. It appears the Bills are going to have a rough road to a playoff spot in the AFC, especially with the rest of the division really picking up the pace.

Maybe Ryan should worry more about his team’s play and not who is about to be a trolling captain.
