DeAndre Jordan was booed by Dallas fans for changing his mind about a contract, something that Jeff Van Gundy called them out on.

When the Dallas Mavericks lost out on signing DeAndre Jordan, it wasn’t the most controversial free agent incident of the summer. Leave it to Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys to one-up everyone and sign domestic abuser Greg Hardy to a contract laced with incentive if he hits enough people this season.

It was a move that is still controversial, and just about everyone in sports is talking about it. Before Sunday night’s game on NBC, Chris Collinsworth flat out told America that he was wildly comfortable talking shop about Hardy given how much of a monster he is.

On Wednesday, the always opinionated Jeff Van Gundy spoke out about Hardy in comparison to the DeAndre Jordan hostage situation.

Jeff Van Gundy wasn’t pleased with Dallas fans for booing a guy who changed his mind about a business deal but will cheer a guy who violently abused his girlfriend to the point where she wanted to die.

Basically, stay classy Dallas.

Van Gundy will get flak for being a basketball guy trying to tell mouth breathing Hardy apologists what to do — but he’s not wrong. Jordan got booed for deciding he didn’t want to play for the Mavericks, which juxtoposed against Hardy is about as small potatoes asa it gets.
