Maurice Jones-Drew recently retired from the NFL, so he has plenty of time to pose like GQ’s Man of the Year, New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady.

Maurice Jones-Drew, a three-time Pro Bowl running back for the Jacksonville Jaguars, seems to have a ton of free time since retiring from the NFL after last season. He’s recently picked up the art of imitating Tom Brady’s GQ Man of the Year photo shoot, frame for frame.

Jones-Drew, for a three-year stretch, was the best running back in football (2009-11). His 8,167 career rushing yards and 68 touchdowns ensures his place in the Jaguars Ring of Honor and maybe even some Hall of Fame consideration. However, he’ll never be looked at the same way as four-time Super Bowl Champion quarterback of the New England Patriots Tom Brady.

Perhaps that is why Jones-Drew felt the urge to pose exactly like Tom Brady in mocking his GQ cover photo shoot. Does Maurice Jones-Drew have a future career as a model? For a former 5’8″ running back, his commitment to modeling himself to Tom Brady is spot on, even if he does leave his cell phone in his left pocket in the first still.

Jones-Drew looks more comfortable on his couch photo than does Brady. The passion Jones-Drew displays in that window photo nearly rivals Brady’s. The only giveaway that Tom Brady is the four-time Super Bowl Champion and not Jones-Drew is the football each professional athlete is carrying: Brady has a fully inflated Super Bowl XLIX football. Jones-Drew proudly carries an NFL Network football.

For the millions of people who want to be like Tom Brady, Maurice Jones-Drew proves that under the right circumstances, anybody can be like Tom, just maybe not on the gridiron.
