Bill Belichick really wanted the Patriots crowd to be quiet after an inadvertent whistle killed a big play

The New England Patriots looked like they broke open a big play early in the third quarter of their Monday Night Football matchup with the Buffalo Bills. However, as Tom Brady rolled to his right and found Danny Amendola open in space, one of the officials blew his whistle for reasons unknown. By rule, the play was blown dead at the spot of the catch, costing the Patriots a huge chunk of yardage.

As you would expect the Patriots players were unpleased, but not nearly as unhappy as the Gillette Stadium crowd who rained down a chorus of boos and jeers at the referees. While that reaction may have been warranted, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick wasn’t having it and he let them know in the most Belichick way possible (Warning: NSFW for lip readers):

It would figure that the most emotion that Belichick would show this season would be telling the Patriots home crowd to shut up (in more colorful language) after his team got hosed on a call. Considering how cozy and warm he looked in his hoodie, perhaps old-man Belichick wanted all of the rowdy kids in attendance to quit disturbing him.
