The dab has gone too far: Chris Berman does it too

Chris Berman has officially killed the dab dance, as he did it on live TV before this week’s Monday Night Football game.

The world was watching the AFC East showdown on Monday night between the undefeated New England Patriots and the second place Buffalo Bills. Chris Berman, looking to entertain as always, went a little too far, and hit the dab on live television.

I don’t even want to know how many times Berman rehearsed this before doing it live, but it looks like he had it down to a science. Still, Berman hitting the dab is nothing to take lightly. It is clearly an epidemic, and must be stopped.

The dab dance was popularized last Sunday when Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton did it after scoring a touchdown. Some were up in arms about Newton taking the dance too far, and the dance was broken down as if it was a football play on some football shows.

Berman partaking in the dance could go one of two ways. Either he has ultimately started to kill the dance, and force it out of style, or he has provoked a new generation of football fans to partake in it. My assumption is that he has forced it out of style. That’s my hope, anyway, because I’m not sure we can handle any more dabbing.
