Victor Oladipo had a huge dunk off of an alley-oop from Elfrid Payton against the Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday night.

Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo is doing big things for the NBA, and on Monday against the Cleveland Cavaliers, he proved that with a big play. Oladipo caught a nice alley-oop from Elfrid Payton and slammed it down with one hand in a dramatic fashion.

Although Oladipo deserves a lot of credit for this dunk, Elfrid Payton does as well. Payton intercepted a pass from Kevin Love to Matthew Dellavedova, but it took a lot of effort to do so. Payton was well inside the key when Love sent the pass off, and got all the way up to the three-point arc to deflect the pass before it reached Dellavedova. Not only does that demonstrate tremendous speed, it demonstrates that the young sophomore is tuned into the game big time, seeing passes before they happen.

Payton then takes the ball all the way down the floor in a two-on-one situation against J.R. Smith. Payton could have tried a layup, and probably would have made it, but showed he wasn’t selfish by tossing the ball up to Victor who slammed the ball down. Smith even took a step back as Oladipo put the ball in and his eyeballs got huge as he watched Oladipo do his thing. Smith was clearly caught off guard.

The duo of Oladipo and Payton keeps proving to be a promising one.
