The Cleveland Cavaliers don’t care about dance routines (Video)
The Raptors dance team was finishing their pre-game routine and the Cleveland players didn’t care
The Cleveland Cavaliers were ready to play the Toronto Raptors on the night before Thanksgiving. LeBron James and company were hyped up and could hardly wait to get on the court and get the action underway. It turns out, they might have actually jumped the gun in getting out onto the court on Wednesday night.
Waiting for the opening tip-off, the Cavs lined up around mid-court, ready for the jump ball. However, they did so while the Raptors dancers were still in the midst of their pre-game routine:
"Introducing the newest members of the @Raptors dance team: The @Cavs?!? https://t.co/ym1HzjficQ— FOX Sports: Hoops (@HoopsonFOX) November 26, 2015"
Honestly, if you had told me that this was some type of performance art piece, I’m not sure that there’s anything that concretely refutes that claim. Performance are or not, though, it’s absolutely hilarious to see a group of men standing stoically while they stand roughly a foot taller than every single one of the dancers. What a perfect visual.
What’s lost in this, though, is that these dancers are going about their routine all wrong. Wednesday was Drake Night in the Air Canada Centre. How the dancers aren’t all out there doing the ‘Hotline Bling’ dance to honor such an occasion is completely beyond me. Such a missed opportunity, even if the Cavs were going to interrupt it regardless.
