TCU freshman Jarrison Stewart got the scoring started for the Horned Frogs against Baylor

If you expected anything but a ton of points from Friday night’s matchup between the TCU Horned Frogs and Baylor Bears, you were proven wrong basically right away. The Bears marched down and scored on the opening drive of the game, but Trevone Boykin led a drive of his own on the ensuing TCU possession and freshman Jarrison Stewart came up big to cap it off.

After benefitting from a defensive pass interference penalty and knocking on the door of the red zone, the Horned Frogs sent Stewart on a quick fly route to the back-right corner of the end zone. Boykin aired it out and Stewart made a great play on a slick, wet ball to haul it in as he tumbled through the back of the end zone:

"Jarrison Stewart opens the scoring for TCU with this catch from Boykin! #BeatBU https://t.co/QO2UcS8v1e— TCU Football (@TCUFootball) November 28, 2015"

That’s a big play for any receiver in college football, but it’s even more impressive for a true freshman in Stewart who has been thrust into a much larger role after the injury to Josh Doctson.

Stewart’s 25-yard touchdown grab tied the game at 7-7, but Baylor didn’t waste any time in keeping the scoring going as they marched down the field yet again to go up 14-7 just midway through the fourth quarter. It only took seven minutes to confirm that fans need to buckle in for an offensive shootout in Fort Worth.
