Buffalo Bills wide receiver Sammy Watkins hauls in a touchdown in double coverage.
The Buffalo Bills got the early jump on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday, racing out to a 10-0 lead thanks in part because of a touchdown reception from wide receiver Sammy Watkins. Tyrod Taylor was able to drop a ball into Watkins who was going deep and beat the corner, and safety Eric Berry took a bad angle and wasn’t able to stop Watkins from hauling in the pass.
It gives Watkins his third reception of the game and a total of 90 yards receiving in just the first quarter. The touchdown reception was a 28-yard catch and Watkins had a 48-yard reception on the first drive of the gsame to set the Bills up for a field goal.
Watkins is making a major impact on this game for the Bills and at the same time, for fantasy football owners around the country who started him.
Taylor should also get credit for his play at quarterback. He was spreading the ball around early, spreading 14 passes out amongst six different players in just the first quarter alone.
