The New York Giants and Washington Redskins duked it out in the NFC East.

The NFC East is just awful and wide open to any team that feels like winning a game. That is what both the New York Giants and Washington Redskins were doing on Sunday, mainly because they’re playing each other and someone has to win.

The Redskins raced out to a 17-0 lead in the first half and an early fourth quarter field goal extended that lead to 20-0. That’s when the Giants began making their comeback.

Rueben Randle caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Eli Manning to narrow the lead, then Odell Beckham Jr. made the catch of the year again to narrow the lead to 20-14.

The Redskins weathered the storm and the Giants weren’t able to complete the come back.

Three stars

  1. Odell Beckham Jr., WR, Giants – Beckham caught nine passes for 141 yards and a touchdown, one of them will go down as a classic other-worldly catch from Beckham.
  2. DeSean Jackson, WR, Redskins – Jackson caught a 63-yard touchdown pass.
  3. Kirk Cousins, QB, Redskins – Cousins completed 20 of 29 passes for 302 yards and a touchdown.
