Jimmy Graham injured his leg against the Steelers.

The Seattle Seahawks will likely be without tight end Jimmy Graham the rest of the season, after suffering an awkward leg injury on Sunday afternoon against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Graham was running a go route down the right sideline before going down and clutching his right knee. Graham was in obvious pain and did not get up, before medical personnel got over to him. Graham was hurt without contact, something that always seems to spell disaster.

Graham was on the ground for several minutes before leaving the field on a cart, with the lower portion of his right leg in an air cast. Graham was the heart and soul of the offseason for Seattle, getting to the two-time NFC champions via trade from the New Orleans Saints. Graham was dealt by general manager Mickey Loomis for a first-round pick and All-Pro center Max Unger.

Until he was hurt this season, Graham had caught 44 passes for 530 yards and two touchdowns heading into the contest against the Steelers. Graham was getting more comfortable in the offseason throughout the season, but it now appears that Graham won’t be playing any football until the 2016 season.

Without Graham, the Seahawks don’t have much to work with down the field. There are receivers Jermaine Kearse, Tyler Lockett and Doug Baldwin, but that trio is not going to scare teams with good secondaries.
