SportsCenter to reair Kobe’s 81-point performance commentated by Stuart Scott.

SportsCenter is going to reair the highlights of Kobe Bryant’s-Los Angeles Laker legendary shooting guard- 81 point performance tonight. After Kobe Bryant announced his retirement this evening, bringing an end to an era of basketball that is filled with a lot of Kobe highlights. The 81-point game is one of the best.

Kobe has been a dominate force since entering the NBA back in 1996, when Kobe was one of the original straight of high school prodigies in basketball. After a short time in the league, it became clear that Kobe would cement his place in NBA, and Lakers, history. The 81 point game that will be reaired by ESPN tonight, stands as the perfect summary of a legendary career.

To make reliving the career of Kobe Bryant that much better, the 81 point game was called by none other than Stuart Scott. Scott tragically lost his battle with cancer back in January. Scott’s death also signified the end of an introduction. Scott brought the all so famous phrases that are constantly yelled on the current Sportscenter, cool. Scott made being a sportscaster cool. Scott, like Bryant, is a legend. And one that deserves to be remembered. Nothing could be better than seeing them remembered together.

If seeing and hearing Bryant and Scott at the same time doesn’t send chills down your spine, then nothing probably will. Seeing these two together stands as one of the coolest sports moments in recent history and stands as a time for fans to salute ESPN.

Well done, ESPN, well done.

Check out the highlights on the 11 p.m. EST airing of Sportscenter.
