The Indianapolis Colts will have many options to choose from to replace Chuck Pagano.

The Indianapolis Colts will reportedly fire Chuck Pagano after their Week 17 game and Pagano’s time in town will end after four seasons if the team does not make the postseason. The previous three seasons saw Pagano lead the Colts to the playoffs, but the team’s performance in 2015 wasn’t up to expectations and the organization appears to be ready for change.

As with any NFL season, the week after the final regular season game brings about many changes. While playoff teams start preparing for their next opponent, the other 24 teams start cleaning out their lockers and many coaches start packing their bags as they receive their pink slips.

Recently, about seven coaches have been fired in each off-season and the coaching carousel begins. On top of that, the rumors for who will fill those job vacancies start swirling around like balls in a bingo cage. Unlike with bingo though, teams actually think through who they will hire instead of just selecting a coaching candidate and saying they’re hired.

For the Colts, they have to find someone who can find success in their first year. Pagano led the Colts to the playoffs in his first season as head coach. The Colts aren’t that bad of a team, but have some glaring issues that need to be addressed. Luckily, the Colts already have a well-established quarterback in Andrew Luck, so nothing too major will need to be fixed offensively.
