With the slew of stars that are reportedly coming in from Japan, did WWE purchase the rights to the Bullet Club name?

It’s certainly been a wild past few days in regards to news from WWE, especially when it comes to new talent arriving. By now, everyone is aware that some prominent members of New Japan Pro Wrestling are making their way to the WWE roster, and this includes some members of the infamous Bullet Club faction.

With that, though, people knew right off the bat that should the likes of Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows and AJ Styles align themselves with Finn Balor, they would not be allowed to be called “Bullet Club,” because the rights to that name belong to the folks of New Japan. This of course means that WWE would have to buy the rights to the name from them if they wanted to use it and market it in the near future.

Well, on Thursday people got very excited and unfortunately it turned out to be for no reason.

A quick rumor was circulating around the internet that WWE had indeed purchased the rights to the Bullet Club name, and this rumor stemmed from the fine people over at Pro Wrestling Tees answering an Instagram question as to whether or not WWE had made the move. They said that they did and the race was off from there.

However, this was quickly shot down, as they rightly admitted that they were just trolling with the comment.

Hey, don’t feel bad, I got so excited and up in arms that this was something that could actually happen that I myself bought right into it.

And, doing what I do for a living, I am generally good when it comes to the internet and news tidbits. Hell, I’m the guy always telling people to check for verified accounts when it comes to getting taken by fake insider handles.

That is just what the prospect of Bullet Club in WWE has done to some wrestling fans.
