Time to countdown the five best individual performances from this year’s bowl season

In a bowl season that saw blowout after blowout (the average margin of victory on New Year’s Day was over 29 points), there were some pretty impressive numbers put up by the nation’s top players. Records were broken on both the individual and team level, as players from around the country showcased their talents on the national stage.

While the College Football Playoff saved its best game for last, only one player from the game is featured on the list below, as fans have witnessed big-time performances by big-time players for over the past month.

From the Rose Bowl to the Russell Athletic Bowl quarterbacks, running backs, and even a wide receiver did everything they could to help their team win its final game of the season. Though there can only be one champion at the end of the season, these players will live infamy for their performances in what was for many of them the final game of their college career.

As with the committee, the selection process was not easy, but here are our top five performances from a lopsided bowl season.
